Hard to belive, but it's been more than a year and a half since I last posted! Lots and lots has gone on. People born, people died, the nation elected a new president and is mired in partisan b.s. - still. Thing One is almost finished in her quest of higher education. The rodeo is never far from her heart - she gave the cowboy sweetheart less than 8 seconds and bucked him off. She continues to promote the great sport from a less royal vantage spot - even explaining the sport to young friends from South Korea and Uzbekastan!

Thing Two is learning to beautify the world - one head at a time. Anyone want low/no cost hair cuts, color, perms, facials, manicures or pedicures? It all goes towards the time needed to secure her license. A new set of dredlocks is in the works, too!

Thing Three broke my heart and doesn't live with us right now. I'm really hoping it's a temporary situation and the Thing's head is removed from the backside. The same holds true for Papa Bear!

Thing Four is about to enter the world of HIGH SCHOOL. It's a scary place, but not so much if you've been able to spend the summer on a college campus. Hope he doesn't get too bored.

Now that you're all caught up with the Things, This is likely to be a place for rants and raves and rabid foaming at the mouth over things like health care reform (what do you mean, its' NOT an ethical and moral issue. Affordable Health care for everyone only makes sense. Single payer makes the most sense - a public option is an acceptable second choice because God Forbid the government get betwwen you and your dr!
